Overview
Choices allow you to offer alternative itinerary items within a single trip.
They are used when a traveler should select one option from a set of predefined alternatives, such as different hotels, activities, or transport options.
When to use choices
Use choices when you want to:
- Let clients choose between different versions of the same part of the trip
- Offer alternatives such as different hotels, activities, or transport options
- Keep everything in one itinerary without creating separate trip versions
How choices work
A choice contains one or more options.
Each option:
- Represents a complete alternative
- Can include one or multiple itinerary items
- Replaces the other options when selected
Only one option can be selected per choice.
Clients can pick from choices in the Booking Form. For each choice, a step in the form is automatically included.
Choices vs Add-ons
Choices and add-ons serve different purposes:
- Choices determine which itinerary items are included in the trip
- Add-ons are optional pricing items that can be selected during the booking flow
Add-ons do not add or remove itinerary items.
Choices vs Trip Options
- Choices apply to specific parts of a trip
- Trip options represent separate versions of the entire itinerary
Use choices for individual decisions within a trip, and trip options for full itinerary variations.
Tip
Use choices for key decision points in a trip, such as accommodation or major activities, where only one option should apply.
