Using Snippets in your itinerary

    Overview

    You can use Snippets to quickly insert reusable content into your itinerary.

    Snippets allow you to reuse existing items, such as a full day or a set of activities, without recreating them each time.

    Step 1: Add a Snippet

    1. In the itinerary view, click “Add Item”
    2. Select “Insert Snippet”
    3. Choose a Snippet from your library

    Step 2: Place the Snippet

    The Snippet will be inserted into your itinerary.

    • It can contain one or multiple items
    • It behaves like a group of regular itinerary items
    • You can move it like any other content

    Step 3: Edit the Snippet locally

    Once added, you can edit the Snippet directly in your itinerary:

    • Update text, images, or structure
    • Adjust details for the specific trip
    • Remove items if needed
    While you can remove items from the Snippet, you cannot reorder them or drag items out of the Snippet.
    To do this, the Snippet has to be converted to individual items (see Detaching a Snippet).

    Updating from the library

    If the Snippet is updated in the library:

    • A notification will appear in the itinerary indicating an update is available
    • You can choose to apply the update

    When applying an update:

    • The Snippet is replaced with the latest version
    • Local changes may be overwritten

    Detaching a Snippet

    If you no longer want the Snippet to stay linked:

    1. Select the Snippet
    2. Choose “Convert to Items”

    Result:

    • The content remains in place
    • You can now freely move individual items to different days or reorder them
    • It is no longer linked to the original Snippet
    • Future updates will not affect it

    Tip

    If you plan to heavily customize a Snippet for a specific trip, consider converting it to items to avoid losing changes when applying updates.
