Navigating the itinerary builder

    Overview

    The itinerary builder is where you create and manage your trip.

    It provides multiple views for planning, editing, and reviewing your itinerary, while keeping everything in a single workspace.

    Starting view

    When opening the itinerary builder, you start in the Itinerary view.

    • This is a kanban-style board
    • Each column represents a day
    • You can view and organize all itinerary items here

    View selector

    At the top of the builder, you can switch between different views:

    1. Itinerary
      Kanban board for organizing days and items
    2. Edit
      Visual editing mode with live preview
    3. Calendar
      Calendar-based view of the trip, with editing capabilities
    4. Locations
      Map view for managing and visualizing locations

    Each view focuses on a different aspect of the trip, but all changes are reflected across the builder.



    Top bar controls

    At the top of the itinerary builder, you can manage key trip settings:

    1. Trip name
      Located in the top left
      This is the internal name of the trip and can be edited directly
    2. Status selector
      Used to manage the current state of the trip
    3. Trip Options selector
      Shows the currently active Trip Option
      Allows you to switch between different versions of the trip

    Working with days

    You can edit the settings of a day directly from the itinerary view.

    1. Click the pen icon on a day
    2. Update the day details in the contextual properties panel

    You can configure:

    • Day title
    • Location
    • Cover image

    Changes are applied immediately and reflected in the itinerary and client view.



    Result

    You can move between views, manage your trip, and edit content from a single place, depending on what you want to focus on.

    Tip

    Switch between views depending on your task—for example, use the Itinerary view to organize items, and the Edit view to refine how the trip appears to clients.

    TripZILLA updates in real time.

    If you have multiple monitors, you can open the same trip in different views across multiple tabs—for example:

    1. Itinerary view on one screen
    2. Edit or Locations view on another

    Changes made in one view are immediately visible in the other.
